Voyager
participates in a variety of industry associations and events
that work to further the knowledge base and operating effectiveness
of participating member airlines.
We are proud to feature three of these associations:
OTA - Open Travel Alliance
The OTA develops communications specifications
to allow for the efficient and effective exchange of travel
industry information via the Internet. With over 150 members
representing all sectors of the travel industry, OTA is comprised
of representatives from the airlines, car rental firms, hotels,
leisure suppliers, service providers, tour operators, travel
agencies and trade associations. The
OTA organization is working to develop open Internet-compatible
messages using XML (Extensible Markup Language). Voyager is
proud to be a part of this organization and our involvement
in the effort to bring about an accepted, standardized communication
protocol that will allow a seamless interfacet between all the
travel industry segments bringing suppliers, providers and end-users
together more efficiently and cost-effectively. We encourage
our airline customers to explore Voyager's current Internet
based Merchandising products and services.
AFAMA - Airline Financial and Accounting Managers Association
CASMA
- Computerized Airline Sales and Marketing Association
CASMA members are encouraged to explore Voyager's
Internet booking concepts,
and systems that may be of use as you evaluate the viability
of a distribution channel via the Internet. Our system
is specifically focused on web-only specials or in-house vacation/land
packages. Of particular interest is our Distributor
Direct product which is a means of providing an electronic
distribution facility to large volume distributors at a very
low cost.
